Transcontinental Moving & Storage crew loading a wrapped sofa into a branded moving truck

Canada ↔ USA moving specialists

The border is the hard part of your move. It's the part we do every week.

Since 2012, Transcontinental has moved households and businesses between Canada and the United States — handling the customs paperwork, the packing, the long haul and the delivery as one job, with one person you can call.

Why Transcontinental

Cross-border moving, done by people who only do cross-border moving

Long-distance moves fail in the gaps: between the packers and the driver, between the driver and customs, between customs and delivery day. We close those gaps by owning all of them.

Customs is our job, not yours
We prepare your inventory and import documentation, and tell you exactly which personal papers you need.
One specialist, start to finish
The same person owns your file from the first quote through delivery. No handoffs, no retelling your story.
Cross-border since 2012
Not a local mover taking the occasional long job. Canada–USA relocation is what we were built to do.
Written estimates, no surprises
Your quote is based on a real inventory, and the number we give you is the number we work to.

How it works

Four steps, one point of contact

  1. Moving crew loading a truck outside a home1

    Tell us about your move

Two minutes online, or a call with a specialist. Where you're going, when, and roughly what's coming with you.

  2. Inventory sheet and customs paperwork prepared before departure2

    A specialist reviews your details

A real relocation specialist — not an auto-responder — checks your route, dates and access, and asks about anything that affects the plan.

  3. Moving trailer at a Canada–USA border crossing3

We confirm the plan and the paperwork

You get your written estimate, your document checklist for the border, and a schedule you can build your week around.

  4. Long-haul moving trailer on a southbound interstate4

We move you and stay in touch

Packing, loading, the border, delivery, unpacking and setup — with one point of contact from first call to last box.

Common questions

Customs, cost and timing

Cross-border pricing depends on the weight or volume of your shipment, the distance between origin and destination, access at both addresses, and the services you add such as packing or storage. Because no two moves are the same, we don't publish a flat rate — we review your inventory and give you a written estimate for your specific move. Larger or more complex homes are usually quoted after a site visit so the numbers hold up on moving day.
